Park Hotel Olimpia is a choice of quality. Our guests enjoy a pleasant, evocative atmosphere, rich in attention and care for every detail of the service, in a welcoming setting furnished with taste and an eye for detail, with colours and materials skilfully in harmony.
The hotel has 34 rooms of 3 different types and 3 junior suites, all with an evocative view of the surrounding landscape.
Typical restaurant with large windows overlooking the valley, outdoor swimming pool with a large solarium, wellness area, meeting spaces, and tennis courts in synthetic grass and clay.
The Centro Turistico Sportivo Il Brallo, next to Park Hotel Olimpia, is among other things a Federal Tennis Centre and an important sports centre hosting Milan Camp football courses and tennis courses run by FIT federal instructors, which draw hundreds of young and not-so-young players here every year.
OUR HISTORY
The origins
It all begins with Giovanni Alberti (1917-2019), who started out with nothing. He fought in Libya in 1940 and was a partisan leader. He won 4 Italian titles in various motor-racing disciplines and took part in hundreds of races around the world. With his construction company he built a dream that still lives on here, in Brallo.
By his side was Antonia Muzio (1924-2019), whom everyone called Piera. A primary school teacher, she always ran the hotel during its opening season, from June to September, when schools were out. She was much more than a manager: she was the heart of the hotel’s hospitality.
Their daughter Luigina Alberti, who graduated in Political Science in 1977, began by working in the family construction business and then devoted herself to the hotel and the FIT Summer Camp.
The hotel
Park Hotel Olimpia was built between 1968 and 1969 by Giovanni Alberti and his construction company, to complement the FIT centre and host the parents of the students during their children’s courses. It remained a simple hotel until 1976. The great success of the centre and the demand for beds for the young students then made it an integral part of the centre, and since then it has hosted the students as well.
In 1985 the first tennis courses for adults began. We still offer them today, with over 40 years of experience and the same passion as the very first day.
Evolution
In 2007 the hotel was completely renovated to a design by the architect Luigi Bariani (husband of Luigina Alberti), earning its fourth star partly thanks to the construction of its own SPA inside the building. The hotel once again became for the exclusive use of its guests and no longer of the students of the FIT centre, becoming one of the best hotels in the province of Pavia .
Camilla Bariani , daughter of Luigina Alberti, graduated in Economics in 2009 and, as soon as she had finished her studies, began to look after the hotel. The tree house , designed by the architect Luigi Bariani, opened in 2015. Jacopo Bariani , brother of Camilla, graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 and, after 5 years’ experience as a designer at Maserati, began to look after the hotel in 2019. The Stargazer Suite , the first and only suite of its kind in Italy, also designed by the architect Luigi Bariani, opened in 2020. Since 2021, a charging station for electric vehicles is also available at the hotel.
