TRAIL BRIGANTS

Another route for lovers of the descent to the Alto Oltrepo! Starting from the Park Hotel Olimpia, proceed on asphalt until you take the CAI 101 path, which, crossing Pian della Faggeta towards Pian del Lago, will take us to the center of the Brallo Pass. From here we go up for a few km towards Bralello from which we will immediately take the “Sentiero dei Briganti”. After passing the chestnut wood, the descent becomes steeper and continues until you reach the Cognassi mill, whose characteristic is that it has a very narrow wheel, almost 10 meters high, still visible today. Continuing, we wade the Montagnola several times and we reach the Grotta dei Briganti, formed by huge granite boulders which in the past was the secret refuge of brigands. We continue, for the last time the Montagnola river and we reach the foot of the village of Fego, from where, taking the asphalted road, we will arrive in Casanova.
