BLACK STONES VALLESCURA

Another beautiful path in the Alto Oltrepo! Starting from the village of Pregola (“Prea Groa”), which has always dominated the Staffora Valley from the top of the “black stones” from which it takes its name, proceed on asphalt until you take the CAI 101 path, which crosses Pian della Faggeta towards Pian del Lago, it will take us to the center of the Brallo Pass. Transfer by bike path to Casone, and then head to the village of Santa Margherita Staffora by a beautiful forest road. From here we begin to climb through woods and meadows in the direction of Monte Scaparina (1157 m.s.l.m.). Arriving at Passo di Scaparina we head towards the Cima di Vallescura (1127 m.s.l.m.) where between forest and singletrack we will descend towards Casone and then make a short stop in Il Groppo, where we can enjoy a splendid view of the Staffora Valley. We will resume the paved road to return to the Park Hotel Olimpia.
